I was inspired to paint this after a visit to Primarily Primitives. I always love looking at all of Stacey's old photos and what she does with them.

I love in old photos how they would pose the children on chairs to keep them still. So cute.

"White Dress" up on ebay now.

Oh Jen, I love it! As soon as I saw it I thought of Stacy's blog and all her old photos! It seemed so scary how they propped babies up in chairs even before they could barely walk! I love how the crackle looks on the white dress.

this is sweet! Ive done several 'girl and doll' paintings, they are so sweet.

Do you have any tips for using crackle? Ive tried it on a couple of paintings but it hasnt really shown up well

She is so sweet, you've captured the toddler face perfectly! I love that she has a dolly too. And I never knew that's why they put kids on chairs, Interesting!

So very cute! I love the composition and the colors. Nice use of the crackle glaze - one of these days I'll have to experiment with that... Just gorgeous!! :) Silke

I just learned this at the funeral I went to on Tuesday. My great aunt died at 92 and they had a professional photograph at the service of when she was young and she was on a raised platform! Your painting is so sweet. Great job!
