I have lots to share along with these three beauties. I just listed the "Mermaids Three" on ebay. I love their nice round bellies. if you look close at the second pic you will see a picture of my Rose with her nice plump belly. Now you know my inspiration for these round torsos. :)

I also want to show of my sweet bird print from The Ruby Nest. I love it! Thank you Julie! This is where I want to start collecting prints and framing them. I have such a huge empty wall here.

This is me having fun with my camera timer. I felt like a teenager taking pics for face book here, but I had a fun excuse to model my new necklace from The Art Hermit. Thanks again Micki!
I also posted a moon walking video. It was fun watching the kids try and believe me, I know I am NO M.J., but you are welcome to take a look.

I have not painted a little devil in a long, long time so here is a cute little devil trying to hide from a very big bird. Well, at least the bird is big to this tiny devil.
I wanted to show off my necklace that I won from Micki at The Art Hermit, but I can't get to the other side of the house right now because we are having work done. It is gorgeous though and I will show it off soon along with a moon walk video that I still need to download. I am sure this week has made all of us see if we can still moon walk. I am sure M.J. would have liked that too.

Bye for now.

I was inspired to paint this after a visit to Primarily Primitives. I always love looking at all of Stacey's old photos and what she does with them.

I love in old photos how they would pose the children on chairs to keep them still. So cute.

"White Dress" up on ebay now.

I love this little deep thinking mermaid. She has studied everything and still can't figure it out. "Why Am I?" is up on Ebay now.

I have been working very hard making these little jewels. I am going to start adding items to my Etsy shop this week.

I have prints to add too and yes I was very nervous that Tamale was going to try to lay on them while I was taking this shot. I assure you she did not. She is learning to be more professional.

It was not all work and no play this week. We did make a trip to Meramec Caverns, the infamous Jesse James hideout. It was strange packing the jackets when it is 97 out, but it is quite cool deep in the Earth. Though we look less than thrilled in these shots , it was very beautiful. I had a slight panic deep in the cave, but I was able to assure myself that I could get out if I wanted to. Claustrophobic.
Well, off to go reopen the ol' Etsy. Have a great week everyone.

Birthday Pics and Artist Prints

We celebrated Anthony and Rosalie's Birthday this weekend. Since their birthdays are a month apart they have to share their special day, but they do not mind.

My husband made pork burritos with his tomatillo sauce that I LOVE.

I made a Rachel Ray black bean and corn salad that I totally recommend. I only changed one thing. I replaced the red peppers with cilantro. I love cilantro.

We also made a sangria that is suppose to be close to Seville's sangria. There was a whole bottle of Rum in it. It was very good. Can anyone spot a print from a well known artist? Yes, it is Flor Larios and her Byzantine Madonna and Child. I think it looks perfect over at my wine station.

Oh, and who is over in my bookcase??
Correct again! Julie Fillo and her Three Bears. I love how it matches my 'Gone with the Wind' book.

Rose wanted us to dress alike. Of course Foster made a bed of mine before I could put it on. Why do cats do that?!

So he had to find a new bed. Can you find him in the garden?

There he is!

We had a snake tamer at the party.
No, not really.
Just our family animal expert, Karlee. She found this little snake and let the kids pet it.

Make a wish!

What is on my desk, what is in the office, what is on the window, and what is out the door.
I am taking time to smell the roses. Prim rose and these sweet little pink roses. Sorry I have no name for them.
I have been inspired by the beauty around me. Ahhhh.
Talk about beauty, check these two out. Foster is officially as big as Tamale if not bigger. I have been calling him my Little Leo. He thinks he is the king of our jungle. What a love, love. Very nice. Very nice indeed.
Nice? How about these? I could not pass them up. They scream girl and that is what Rose is, so here they are on her window.

This is out the door. A secret little path that leads to the big woods. I just love how the sunlight speckles it.

Now a big thank you to Jenny at Alley Cat Rescue and Stacey at Primarily Primitives for giving me the Byrum Spiritual Art Award.
Thank you so much! If you are not a follower already go check out both of these wonderful blogs. You will fascinated by the beautiful vintage photos on Stacey's blog and all the adorable kitty pictures on Jenny's blog.

I had so much fun painting this weekend. Sometimes I just feel the need to paint more impressionist, I guess you would call it. The flowers are a more traditional kind of painting . I love the reds and pinks together.

'Sun Spot Cat', I painted while listening to the documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright. That was very interesting.

It is always so nice to be able to find time to paint because that means I am actually sitting down.

This last one I did is not at all like the others. I guess it would be very outsider.

Foster has all his shots for playing outdoors so from time to time he does bring home a little something to show his appreciation. I hate to be so mean about it because they always look so proud.

I love reading the original Grimm's fairy tales to my children. I like to dramatize the scary evil characters until their little chins drop. Come on.... I know I am not alone.

I recently read Hansel and Grethel to them and I still can't get over how the Father would pick his new bride over his children, but I imagine that kind of stuff still goes on today. This painting was inspired by Hansel and Grethel lost in the woods after being coaxed into taking a nap, only to awaken cold and alone. Up on ebay at .99cents.

Oh no, oh no! My babes are lost at sea!

You never know what lurks in the deep blue sea.

These little 'Sea Babes' are on ebay starting at .99 cents.
