Man, I wouldn't mind climbing up on that tree all by myself. Doesn't it look peaceful?

I have not been painting lately. I would hope to have something to share by now, but I have been a little preoccupied with Nino's food allergies and asthma. They have been acting up. That is always so frustrating and scary. He has so many borderline ones along with his main ones. Easter parties can be stressful because of them, but we made it through. Whew! AND, he is still alive so that is a blessing indeed.

Here are a couple of shots from our Mushroom hunt. Every spring we search for Morel mushrooms in the woods behind our home.

Foster played Bobcat the entire time. Climbing trees and walking through the streams with the kids.
I swear he is part dog. He loves to go on walks in the woods with us.
This is such a cool tree and that lump on it is Foster.

These are our farm fresh eggs that we colored. Although, I loved the colors they were.

I hope you all had a very blessed weekend! Hopefully my next post will be of a painting! Jennifer

Such beautiful pictures of the tranquil woods! I clicked on the picture to enlarge the first one because I thought you were taking a picture of a squirrel! What a great kitty! It is too early to hunt fot those yummy morels in our area but it won't be too long! Sorry to hear that you have a little one with food allergies. That would be so scary!

You were brave coloring those eggs! What did you do with them then? Touching the outside shells doesn't bother Anthony?

i know the feeling with the food allergies thing as i have one child with an anaphylactic response to nuts & legumes and it can make holiday times a nightmare... But i have my family & friends more or less trained now... and it only took 16yrs! sighhh

Thank you all for your kind comments and support. Sounds like many of you know the stress I have been feeling. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My immediate and my husband's immediate family are really great about the food allergies. It is the extended family parties that get hard.

It is sad Cris, but even though egg is a really low one I still picked up the egg and put it on the holder for him. I think he would have been ok touching them, but it is not worth taking a chance. Ugh. He had fun still though dipping them in the die.

I grew up with a woods in my back yard. I miss it. That cat is too funny! That is great that he stays around, instead of taking off to investigate on his own.
