I had a full day of gardening yesterday and I am heading into another full day today. My husband and I are starting to think maybe we are too old for all of this back breaking work. :? May is the toughest month of gardening around here. There is so much to be done. We start longing for our little yard in the city that we once had. The rewards will be worth all of our hard work someday....I hope.

We live near a park owned by the German Society and every year in May they have their big 'Mai fest' with Polka bands, dancers, food ,fun for the kids and of course beer. Usually after a hard day of work out in the yard we all clean up and head over to celebrate.

This brings me to my next painting 'May Day'. A sweet girl with a flower and ribbon crown dancing and enjoying spring. I can wait to do that!

I was out today getting rid of the old dead stuff. The new growth is already well on it's way! My garden spots are small so it wasn't too much work.

The painting is darling. I love the dancing kitty, of course.

Gardening...well, I have it easy with my little court yard/english garden. All I do is plant flowers in pots and wahlah. Dave would love to have a full blown garden someday, but I bet he would hate the back breaking work too..lol I think he forgets about how hard it can be.

Awfully sweet. I went to Ebay, but couldn't get either this painting or the opossum painting to enlarge. Bummer. I have an Apple computer, so I guess that could the reason, although it hasn't been a problem previously.

I love the May Day painting and the "possums" are so cute! I don't have anything up this week, but I have lots of ideas from the Earth Day Festival I went to with Tara at Mizzou. It was such a flash back to the 70's! ha ha You are probably ahead of me on your gardening since I was out of town over the weekend!
