I have not blogged in a few weeks because I have been mainly painting for myself. I have started painting from pictures. This first one is my mom in her cute little cat glasses showing her shyness by covering her smile. The second one is of my dad playing the trumpet in the 50's. He was in a Big Band. Probably how he won over my mom. It is a strange feeling painting your parents and seeing them so clearly in detail of who they were when they were young and just starting out. The last one is of my kitchen with a strand of white lights hung up. It is a biggy, 24X36.
I also painted my deck. Not quite as fun, but not bad either. Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend!

The paintings are fantastic! Your Mom and Dad paintings really captured them! And I like the table chairs windows with lights...I need some lights around this apartment...maybe I should pull out my white Christmas lights and put them up somewhere! Happy Easter!

sometimes we need to make art - just for ourselves, to remember our story or our dreams - lovely work.
