I started painting party people and did not stop. These first three painted on wood plaques are obviously your cake and coffee type of party. I really love painting on the wood. I have not done it in awhile, but I really love the way the paint glides over it. It was Rose's idea to give them puff sleeves. I like them like that.

I am not sure where the last party is. It looks a little dark and I can tell they are serving cocktails.

These are all on Etsy.

I like all of them...but the last one (cocktail party?) intrigues me...everyone's so somber...except for the red head on the extreme left...so now I have to imagine why she's not somber...perhaps, at just that moment, she's seen the love of her life come through the door...perhaps she's still able to experience "la joie de vivre" unlike her more jaded peers. I like art that makes me think!

They are all so interesting because nobody looks very happy. I like the little girl sitting on the stool and the cat with the hat on.

The last painting has a really 1960's feel to it, it looks like lots of photos my mum and dad had of their parties, awesome work Jennifer, I love how your style is constantly changing :)
